What happened

Swiss online retailer Offerz said attackers got into a test environment on the night of October 7, 2026, where a copy of its online shop's order data from January 2026 had been left in cloud storage after technical work; the access was found on the morning of October 9. The copy covers about 115,000 customers and includes order numbers, names, addresses, email addresses, mobile numbers, IP addresses and the type of payment method used. Card and account details and passwords were not in the copy. Offerz says it cannot prove the data was actually taken but assumes it was as a precaution; it informed customers by email and requires a password reset at next login.

What should I do?

  1. Be wary of emails, texts or calls that cite an Offerz order number and ask for payment, card details or a login.
  2. Reset your Offerz password when prompted, and change it anywhere else you reused it.
  3. Check offers or delivery problems directly on offerz.ch rather than through links in messages.
