What happened

Neiman Marcus Group confirmed that data was stolen from its Snowflake cloud account in spring 2024 and notified about 64,000 people, mostly over names, contact details, birth dates and Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman gift card numbers (without PINs). A larger file posted by the seller contained about 31 million customer email addresses and partial card data, according to Have I Been Pwned.

What should I do?

  1. Check the balance on any Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman gift cards and report missing funds to customer service.
  2. Treat emails, texts and calls that mention Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman or gift cards as suspect; don't click links or share codes, and contact the company through its official app or website.
  3. Watch your card statements for unknown charges.
  4. Change your Neiman Marcus password and any other account that uses the same password, and turn on two-step verification.
