What happened
Manchester Airports Group, which runs Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports, said in August 2026 that an outside party took customer records linked to car parking, lounge, Fast Track and airport Wi-Fi bookings. About 8.7 million customers were emailed; data includes email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registrations and postcodes, and the FulcrumSec group later leaked it. MAG said it does not hold bank or card details and airport operations were unaffected.
What should I do?
- Treat emails, texts and calls that mention airport parking refunds, Fast Track or your booking as suspect; don't click links or share codes, and contact the company through its official app or website.
- MAG says it will never ask for card details, bank information or passwords unexpectedly; don't give them.
- Report scams or fraud to Action Fraud (actionfraud.police.uk) or call your bank on the number on your card.
