Daegu Sports Council data breach (Aug 2023)
What happened
Hackers accessed the Seongsan Stadium reservation website, and the facility office later closed the site after discovering the breach. Personal information including names, addresses, contact details, IDs, and email addresses of reservationists was exposed. A joint investigation with the National Intelligence Service and police is underway. Subscribers were notified later. The Daegu Metropolitan Council audit highlighted inadequate management of website security for the stadium and sports center.
